Is there one location that's better than the other? I've been to the Pilgrim school but not Circle- does anyone know the pros and cons to each of the schools?
Thanks! |

We had both our children at Pilgrim and had wonderful teachers every year. The main differences between Circle and Pilgrim that I'm aware of (not being all that familiar with the Circle teachers) are:
- Kids at Pilgrim go to Westbrook for the pre-K year. This is great if your child is going to ES at Westbrook; if not, you may not want the disruption. Kids at Circle stay there all 3 years (if they want to). - The playground is much larger at Circle than Pilgrim. - I prefer the interior layout at Pilgrim. It's basically 3 classrooms off a corridor, and it's very cozy. The largest room at Circle is much bigger and nicer than anything at Pilgrim, but compared to Pilgrim, I find the layout at Circle to feel a bit warren-like. - Circle is closer to DC, but if you're coming out on Mass Ave and planning to turn left into the parking lot, driving the extra distance to Pilgrim may actually Involve less hassle. Traffic can get quite backed up close to the circle. (I think you can also drop off behind Circle and avoid the left turn, but there is less parking.) |
