| I have worked out my entire life but I'm not particular small or thin. I have no defined waist but I have pretty toned abs. I have large thighs but they are solid and no cellulite. When I wear clothes I don't look over weight but I don't look particularly slim to say the least. I went on a short moms away wknd inbetween xmas and new years and got the same reaction in my bathing suit that I always do. "Omg you look so great...how much weight have you lost." Which the answer is always none (or after Xmas probably up a few) but I just always have had these reactions. Perhaps I'm just wearing the wrong clothes for my body type? |
| Are you more confident in your bikini? |

OP it sounds like your body type is athletic. Which of course is easier to see with no clothes on. You said you do not have a defined waist and have large thighs. No matter how solid/cellulite free you are, that’s going to be a body type that looks thick in clothes even though naked it looks fantastic.
I’m sure it’s annoying to always get these comments but I think you have to learn to embrace what you have. You’re not overweight and can look good in a bikini as an adult - you are winning compared to most women in the US! |
| Yes, women that lift weights do more than women that do tons of cardio |
| You need to dress for your body. |

I wouldn't worry about it, even though you can maybe improve your style in some way and show off your figure a bit. I think a lot of people react only when they see something that clearly rings 'sexy'.

| I don't look good in any type of swimwear, but I definitely think I look better naked than in clothes. Borderline plus size on a petite frame. Naked, I see nice curves, smooth skin, very cuddleable. Stuffed into clothes, I see muffin top and belly bulges and awkward bra outlines and all the other pitfalls that come from trying to wear the cheap crap that passes as fashion these days. |
+1. I'm actually much more confident naked than in clothes. |
Your are wearing clothes too small |
| Are your shirts too baggy? Like they fall straight down from your chest without curving in to hug your body? I knew a mom that always wore baggy shirts/tunics and one time she wore a form fitting dress and I was amazed at how slim she was! I’d wear a body hugging top if you have a toned flat tummy. |

This just means that you wear ill-fitting clothes, OP. You could look good year-round! Make more of an effort when you're shopping

Did you post in the wrong thread? |
| Op, it sounds like you're describing Demi Moore's body |
I agree that woman that lift weights look better in bikini than those that do just cardio. Being just skinny with minimal muscle definition often look fine in clothes but a flat butt doesn’t look great in most bathers. |
