Are Cadillac Escalades good?

Curious what people think about them. Are Cadillac Escalades good as a daily driver for a family of 3?

If you want to waste money and gas and look like you are insecure and vain.

Our family of four does just fine with a mid-size car.

Sure, if you have the money.

This exact question was recently on here. The vast consensus was that it’s a black persons car. How many white people do you see driving them?

There are quite a few. If you frequent Bethesda and Potomac, MD during school hours, you see many Escalades pulling in and out of the private and Catholic schools along River Road, Seven Locks Road and Wisconsin Ave. I’m white and one of them. I love mine. Not sure what your question is meant to elicit. “Good” for who or what?

Right, good for what? Do you have one kid (3 people) or three kids (so five in the family)?

What else are you doing besides driving around with three (!) people in an Escalade? Pls say you have four Newfoundlands or a landscaping business or something that is a reason -besides ego - for driving such a vehicle.

We are a family of 3 and we have one. No apologies. It’s awesome. This is our 3rd. We buy a new one every 3-4 years or so.

Yes, OP, this is the Escalade mindset. If you nodded your head when you read this PP, then you should get one.

It's the perfect car for a drug dealer or a secret service agent. Are you either one of those?

My next door neighbor, for one. Middle-aged single white man.

Secret service uses Chevy Suburban (same platform) and Chevy Yukons generally, not Cadillacs.

The Escalade is like the Mercedes S-Class in the sense that I'll always think you're some VIP's driver or a hotel chauffeur.

It's even funnier if you just happen to have to dress up for work every day.

I see mostly whites driving them....plenty of realtors.
While it may look like a vehicle a black person may covet, it is way out of reach for most AAs.

You’re crazy. Black people sink money into cars. And I say this as a black person. I have so many family members or know of acquaintances who live in a 1BR apt in a good or bad part of town and have Mercedes, Cadillac, BMW, etc.. I grew up in the suburbs and skinny white women with big sunglasses and one kid in the back driving Cadillacs were the norm!!!

I thought the Range Rover was more of a black thing? Escalade more of new money white Catholics?
