| s/o from the Pacifica/Odyssey thread. There seems to be some sort of perceived status in driving an Odyssey over other minivans. I suppose the Odyssey is more expensive, but I haven't priced them. If you drive an Odyssey do you feel somehow superior or conversely, if you drive the pacifica, do you feel somehow "less than" because it's not the preferred minivan? |
| OMG. This ridiculousness needs to stop. |
| No, that’s silly. |
| Ha. Driving a minivan is embarrassing no matter the type. |
| One should be... |
|
I thought they were all pretty similar in pricing? I have an Odyssey and am kind of embarrassed to drive it, would rather have a cute convertible or small SUV- but that wouldn't fit my 3 kids and dog... |

Honda and Toyota typically require good credit to buy/lease.
FCA and Nissan are more lenient with financing which is why you see a ton of those cars in lower SES areas (Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler/Nissan). |
| Minivans are minivans. They’re all ugly and embarrassing. |
| wtf? |
| I do kind of assume that anyone driving a Chrysler doesn’t have much sense. Total pieces of crap. |
| Actually a mom said that to me the other day. "I really wanted the Odyssey but couldn't afford it so my Chrysler is just fine." I was shocked and hadn't really thought about it, but it was a conversation that happened in real life. |
| We looked at every mini-van when we were shopping in 2012. The Chrysler and Kia were cheaper, and felt it. In particular, the 3rd row seating in the Chrysler was a lot tighter. They weren't cheaper enough to make it worthwhile, IMO, for a vehicle I plan to drive until it crumbles to dust in my driveway in another 15 years. |

Anyone who drives a Chrysler should be embarrassed, they are pieces of junk!

Your mojo was ruined by the THREE CHILDREN. Not the mini van. |

No.
I used to have an Odyssey. We only had it about 6 years (purchased new) and sunk a TON of money into it for repairs. Finally we had enough and bought a Chrysler (Town and Country, which I think they don't make anymore.) We've had the Chrysler since 2012 and have put a penny into it beyond regular maintenance (oil changes, etc.) I am SO much happier with the Chrysler! |
