You Raise Me Up and Up to the Mountain. Way back in the day when I used to watch American Idol, both were performed on Idol Gives Back and I especially loved both renditions - Josh Groban and an African children's choir for the first and Kelly Clarkson with Jeff Beck for the second.

You Can Close Your Eyes

by James Taylor

So close your eyes
You can close your eyes, it's alright
I don't know no love songs
I can't sing the blues anymore
Oh but I can sing this song
[B]You can sing this song when I'm gone[B]

OMG yes. Always. Kermit in the pond always.

Oh my gosh. This darn song brings tears to my eyes and I don't know why!

Oh wow, thank you for the flashback, I remember this so vividly from my childhood. Kermit was my first love lol. No one believes me that the Muppets used to be on Sesame Street!

I have sung four songs from the Messiah and heard the entire oratorio. I love the whole thing, but the piece that gives me the goosebumps is the Hallelujah Chorus. There is something so uplifting about that piece that makes it a standout and this one definitely belongs here.

One of my favorite more recent renditions is the Christmas Flash Mob in a food court of a mall. This was one of the versions that definitely game me the goosebumps feeling.

Well that just made me cry! Thank you, PP. There is nothing like the Messiah.
