How much should I expect to pay a nanny in Alexandria?

| Hi, we are weighing our options and comparing costs. We got in to a Daycare in Alexandria, but the cost has turned out to be unrealistic for us. What is the ballpark cost I should anticipate for a nanny who comes to our home for approx 8-9 hours a day for a 4 month-old infant? Walks, playtime expected, but not necessarily household chores. Thanks for your help |

| If the cost of daycare is unrealistic than the cost of a nanny won't work for your either. A nanny share will be comparable in cost to St. Anthony, Great Beginnings or American Day School. In home daycares are typically a little less expensive...you may want to give that a shot. |
