I am very close to buying a Concept2 because it is supposed to be the best rowing machine on the market. However, I am nervous about completing the purchase. I am not a rower, but I have enjoyed using rowing machines in the past at the gym. Since I am not a rower, do I need a Concept2? Would a cheaper and/or smaller machine be fine? Is there a specific less expensive option that you recommend? Or, is Concept2 definitely worth the money? Will I regret getting a less expensive machine?
I bought a cheap rower and I don't use it. I don't like it, its really boring to be on a roweing machine. I do it par if my OTF now, but not on my own
Get the Concept2 - it is worth it. If cost is an issue, look for a used one -- we got a used one for $200 many years ago, but later upgraded to a new one. We have had that "new" one 10+ years and DH uses it routinely.
Not sure how you could get a smaller one. You need to elongate your body. Thry are only $1000. That's not much for a piece of cardio equipment. We have a concept2, along with full home gym. I love my tower. Most useful piece of cardio equipment I own.
Agree with the suggestion to look for a used one. I have one that we bought in @2002. It has been used regularly 1-3 times a week since then. No issues. Bulletproof. It's long but it is very narrow - ours is right up against a wall.
