African American salon in NOVA

I work in Reston and am looking for a salon near my job in the Reston/Herndon area. I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd like to be in and out with a great style I won't have to "fix" when I get home. Also, I prefer a flat-ironed style for my medium-length hair. So far I've researched Sheldeez and Michael Andrews, but both have more negative reviews than positive.

Any salon & stylist recommendations? Anyone frequent Sheldeez or MA and have a good expeirence?

I am interesting in the responses you get as I am looking for a place too. I work in Reston but live in DC so if anyone had recommendations for either that would be great. As far as Sheldeez I tried it once and was not happy with the service at all. Plus I was there for over 5 hours and was only getting a shampoo and flat iron.

No recs for NOVA, but here's one for DC. Ask for Perry at Bogarts in G'town. He is great and does a wonderful job on all lenghts and textures of African American hair.

I love my stylist but you may have to "fix" your hair once you get home, as you will leave with a very plain style. I do love that she doesn't keep you all day. Also, she's located in Falls Church, so not as close to Reston as your were hoping.
