Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor & airport X-ray machines

I have to fly during my testing period with the Clearblue Easy Fertility monitor. It's just a 36-hour trip so I was going to bring a carry-on, but wonder if there would be any harm to my monitor going through the airport X-ray machine? I looked on Clearblue's website and didn't see anything addressing this issue. Has anyone else traveled with their monitor? I could always check my bag, but then I have to worry about it being damaged or lost by the airlines! I also want to bring the monitor with me (i.e., I don't want to just skip the two mornings I'll be gone) because I should be ovulating during this time (luckily, my DH is going with me!). I know I could ask the TSA folks to not scan it/check it by hand, but I would like to avoid having to explain what the machine is, etc.
