FYI- I've read a bunch of Facebook posts where some people got a link to the PGCPS Specialty Lottery results somehow. I guess people were having issues and when they contacted the PGCPS offices they were told that the site wasn't supposed to be up and the results hadn't been uploaded yet.
I have NO idea how true any of it is but I wanted to pass that on. |

Yes, it's us anxious moms waiting for lottery results.
I know several people called this morning- hopefully that will get the Pupil Accounting office to take the site offline until the results are really ready. |
|
This was by a posted by a parent in another group:
"Please share your frustrations (politely) through PGCPS’ Let’s Talk system. Responsiveness/response rates are tracked and increased submissions will help highlight that there is a problem in their process to leadership: http://www.pgcps.org/talk-to-us/ " |
|
It must have gotten taken down, because I don't see it anywhere.
|
| I think it was showing results from last year's lottery. I remember this happening last year, too. |
| Will the results come by mail or email? |
|
I found the link by searching Google..GOOD LUCK, parents/families. We are #32 on the wait list for Dora Kennedy...

They likely used the same link from last year by doing an internet or chat search because the link was not sent out via emails yet. They may even have guessed it based off of the link for the charter schools that was sent out. My 2 guesses. Good Luck! |
| Congratulations to the PP with #32; you're likely to get in! |

Hello,
I am new to all of this. I used the link someone provided on this post and it says my son is waitlist #18 for a TAG school. What exactly does his mean? He is in? Out? Do I need to do anything? Will that number move if I keep checking periodically? |
|
You should receive a letter within a few days. You have a low number -- feel optimistic! You may not be on the "actual" waitlist. Such a low number often indicates immediate placement, but placements have not officially been made, so no one has them yet. It is really confusing.
Related -- does anyone have a sense of where the waitlist actually starts (meaning how many places are reserved for siblings before the lottery draw) for Pullen, DKFI, and Goddard? |
What grade and what school. With the exception of Greenbelt middle school, all the TAG magents made it through their waitlist for the entry year (2nd and 6th) |
Kenmoor, 6th grade. |
I would say you will most likely get in. |
| My son is waitlist #6 for Judith Hoyer Montessori. I hope he gets in. |
