Can anyone recommend a French Class or an in-home French teacher?

Looking for children who will have a parent that speaks French but would like formal instruction for them.

Not sure what you are asking - are you saying that the kids' parent/s speak/s French, but that you want supplemental lessons for writing/reading? Do the kids speak French?

We were not thrilled with the quality of classes at Alliance Francaise. The admin staff there were not very pleasant at all. Overall we were disappointed.

Unfortunately, there are not many options for French instruction in the DC area.

PP, can you give more details about your experience with the alliance? my child is about to start classes there and would definitely like to have more insight! TIA!

There are weekly French classes for children grades 2-5 at St. Paul's Lutheran in Upper NW DC off Connecticut Ave. Most of the students are from Murch Elem, but they also have kids from the neighborhood.

Sorry: try this link - it's better. They can also help you find an in-home instructor.
