If I have a 4 burner (gas) cooktop -- can I replace it with a 5 burner model?

What is involved? Is this going to require additional people to install it (i.e. will I have to hire an HVAC guy separate from the cooktop delivery/installation guy?)

It's unlikely that the BTUs on a 5 burner will so greatly exceed the BTUs on a 4 burner that you'll need to switch out the gas line. As long as they are the same size (I presume 30") you should be fine.

Agree. As long as the size is the same, you're fine.

It's not the number of burners that matter. It's the dimensions of the existing rangetop vs your new range top.
