Virginia Youth Conservation Corps for teens?

I asked this over on the teens/tweens forum and didn't get any responses, so I'm hoping someone here has experience...
Has anyone's child participated in the Virginia Youth Conservation Corps? (http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/youth-conservation-corps). Seems like a really cool program, but I only just learned about it through an online search and don't know anyone who has participated. I'd love to hear first hand experiences before I give my 14 year old DD the green light to apply. |
