Greenbelt TAG info?

Can any parents/families provide insights on Greenbelt TAG? I will be applying to the lottery for my rising 6th grader. He loves to learn is very self motivated but struggles with anxiety. I am a career educator and get easily irritated by busy work. Is the instruction creative/engaging? How is the climate and culture within the TAG program and as part of the larger school community? Are the teacher teams organized/communicate expectations clearly? I emailed the TAG coordinator a while ago and have not heard back. I applied to CPA (very long shot) and CMIT (too far from home), and our in boundary is HES. Any insights are greatly appreciated!

Given past enrollment data, I wouldn't count on entry into the TAG program at GMS. Last year only 1 or 2 kids got in via the lottery.
The new TAG center at Tasker has had a postive impact on TAG lottery chances at Kenmoor and Tasker though. If you can manage the transportation, you may be able to get your child into one of those school. They allowed non-boundry kids to apply this year because they made it through their waitlists.

My son went to Greenbelt and had a great experience. He's now a sophomore, so this wasn't too long ago. The school work was interesting. Not a lot of busy work. I have wonderful things to say about the band teacher, Ms. Fung. She's awesome.
