| Does anyone know about this option? Any difference in prestige compared to going straight to Atlanta? |
| There was a thread on this very question recently, if you run a search on this forum, spelling Emory correctly, you'll likely find it. |
| Oxford is tiny: less than a thousand students. It's a great start for someone who is okay with transferring from a tiny liberal arts college to a larger research university. Note that Oxford does not have fraternities or sororities, so if your child is looking for that experience, they should start at the main campus. |
Thanks. No wonder nothing comes up when I searched. I spelled Emory wrong.

I am asking for a friend from a different country. Not having the Greek system won't be a hardship for her child. |
| Why are you concerned about prestige? |
You don't? |
Not one bit |

Here is a pretty good recent discussion on Oxford from College Confidential. As for prestige, any student at Oxford graduates from Emory University. Since you can now apply to both the main campus and the Oxford campus at the same time using the same application, the student bodies look remarkably similar -- and they all end up with the exact same degree.
