BKT versus Brazilian Straightening

Are they the same thing? I heard some people say the the keratin treatment did not contain formaldehyde but that the straightening version does. If they're not the same what are the differences in expected results?

I think they are the same thing. I think the product with formaldehyde has been discontinued.

Doesn't BKT stand for Brazilian Keratin Treatment? I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. I didn't hear anything about it being discontinued. I would stay away though, since formaldehyde is a known carcinogen.

I do the brazilian one and I love it!!!! there is one now but its not with formal.... but you need to do more often though....i never tried this one i love the formal one
