Common App - driver's license issue date?

I'm confused. On my license, the issue date is the last date I had it renewed - so a year ago. I'm sure they want to know when the license was *first* issued. I have no idea - sometime in the late 80's! Is there a place we can find out this information?

I don’t remember the common app asking for parents DL info. Strange, not sure why colleges need to know the applicant’s parents can drive. I’d just include the issue date for your current license if you have to include something.

Ok, thanks. I think it was to establish residency if applying to state schools.
