If you froze your eggs as a single person did you use those eggs later in life when TTC?

I'm 30 and will likely be freezing my eggs sometime soon. I'm just curious to know what women who have done this did with their eggs if they ended up in a relationship .

Did you try wiithout the eggs first?

Of course you would try on your own without the eggs.

I froze my eggs three years ago at 36 and am TTC on my own now. I'm only using them if I can't get pregnant in the next few months.

Howe much did it cost to freeze eggs? I heard it's really expensive.

PP here. When I did it three years ago, it was about $12K for one round. I think you can get multiple cycle discounts at certain places and the price has come down a bit, though.

As someone said on another thread " always try for the free baby first". Your egg banking is a sunk cost at that point so conceiving naturally would be cheaper. Also it'd be pretty weird to NOT try the old fashioned way just because you banked eggs.

You should absolutely try on your own first. The frozen eggs are insurance.

The technology to freeze eggs (as opposed to embryos) is only a few years old, so I suspect not many women have used theirs yet.
