I'm 30 and will likely be freezing my eggs sometime soon. I'm just curious to know what women who have done this did with their eggs if they ended up in a relationship .
Did you try wiithout the eggs first? |
| Of course you would try on your own without the eggs. |
| I froze my eggs three years ago at 36 and am TTC on my own now. I'm only using them if I can't get pregnant in the next few months. |
| Howe much did it cost to freeze eggs? I heard it's really expensive. |
| PP here. When I did it three years ago, it was about $12K for one round. I think you can get multiple cycle discounts at certain places and the price has come down a bit, though. |
| As someone said on another thread " always try for the free baby first". Your egg banking is a sunk cost at that point so conceiving naturally would be cheaper. Also it'd be pretty weird to NOT try the old fashioned way just because you banked eggs. |

You should absolutely try on your own first. The frozen eggs are insurance.
The technology to freeze eggs (as opposed to embryos) is only a few years old, so I suspect not many women have used theirs yet. |
