Preschool and Daycare Discussion
|
My daughter is 15 months old (May 2008 birthday), so I am thinking of applying for the parent/child program for September 2010.
Does anyone have any experience with this particular program. Is it worthwhile? Does it help your child get into the twos program? Also, any idea of what it costs? Thank is advance! |
| I know several SAHM's who have done it. They've told me the main reason to do it is to ensure they get in to the real preschool. But they mostly all liked the school a lot. |

My son was born in May 2007 and we applied and were accepted for the parent/child program for Sept 2009. We opted for Village Green's program, which is similar, but closer to us in Great Falls.
I think I tossed the acceptance letter and financial info, but I think the program was @ $3k for the year. |
| OP here, thanks for the responses. I have since found the pricing for the P/C option ($2,565). Just thought I would see if there was anyone with direct experience with this school....and specifically the P/C Program. |

My son will be starting in the program in a few weeks. We are very excited about it as we toured the school and really liked everything we saw (in addition to getting numerous recommendations for the school).
I am a working mom but I have a lot of flexibility with my job so I will be taking off one morning a week to take DS to the program. DH is also planning to take him to a few of the classes throughout the year. |
| I have my DC enrolled, and the main reason is to secure a place for her at 2. |
| Did you find it hard to get into the program? We are going to schedule a visit as soon as school opens in Sept. |
| I heard that they had a wait list, but we didn't have any trouble getting our son in the school. They didn't even want to meet him- but we did have a long tour with the AD so I guess she was able to "size him up" through us. |
| We applied to Country Day because they did not do testing/evaluation visits for such young kids and only take recommendations if the child has been in another program already. I also heard about the wait lists. |
