Invasive non-native constrictor snake populations have exploded in Florida and many of the southern states.
The now-wild population is expanding northward as much as the climate will allow. The problem is reaching epidemic proportions. Expect more stories like this - particularly in southern Virginia and North Carolina. This particular snake was likely a pet which someone released, or allowed to escape. |
