Progesterone supplements causing interrupted sleep/insomnia?

But crazy dreams at the same time? I'm hot at night and constantly tossing and turning. Have others experienced this as well? I am to take them during 2ww and this is cycle one. I don't know how I can do this months on end because I'm feeling completely batty during the day.

OP again - took a test out of curiosity and got a bfp. Wow.

Why are you on progesterone? Did you do IVF/IUI and if so did you use a trigger shot (HCG)? If so, that gives a false positive until it's out of your system 10dpo I believe?

I despise progesterone and was on it until 11 weeks during my last pregnancy, and yes it gave me hot flashes, insomnia, heartburn and bloating. No fun.

I experienced the same. It was awful. I was so happy when I was able to stop taking it.

OP here. I have history of miscarriage and after hormone/clotting panel I'm on progerterone and lovenox. My son is 1.5 so I just couldn't remember if I experienced this last time. I was pregnant on July and didn't take the progesterone after a different Doctor in the practice said it wasn't really necessary (stupid me to listen to her) and I miscarried again. My symptoms weren't as intense as this though so maybe it's a combo of this new pregnancy and the pills. Or the weak pregnancy just didn't produce any symptoms. Either way kind of in shock that twice now we conceived first shot but for my son it took 6 months!

Congrats!!

Hope you don't have to deal with bad side effects, but it's all worth it in the end.

Just stumbled on this thread. I just started taking progesterone supplements for the first time (Endometrin) and have been having so much trouble falling asleep at night since I started it a few days ago, and once I do actually fall asleep (after 2+ hours) my dreams have been pretty vivid. I didn't realize the was a side effect but guess it makes sense.

Does it get better over time? I really hope so - so tired and can't even have a ton of caffeine.
