My DD has taken 2 ACT and 2 SAT tests. She really fell short in one area on one test and then seemed to do the opposite on the following test (for both ACT and SAT...)
My question is: Will the universities that use super scoring also notice that she had a pretty big variation between the 2 tests? Ex: Here are her SAT scores: SAT test 1: Math: 710 Verbal: 640 SAT test 2: Math: 600 Verbal 700 Taking the best of both is 1410. However, Her math score dropped significantly on test 2 (not sure why). Will this raise a red flag? Is she better off sending in just test 1 results at 1350? Thanks. |
| No, if school allows super-scores, send both in. |
| I read the other day that UVA doesn't even see the low scores -- their software is built to select the highest scores from the tests submitted. The highest scores are the only thing that the admissions officers consider. |
Thanks. I heard that many scores are analyzed the same way, so they only see the top scores from all. |
