I am currently on NuvaRing and have been for about 4 years. My husband and I would like start TTC in September.
I'm wondering how long it took for any of you to get your BFP after you stopped taking NuvaRing.....? My friend who was on NuvaRing says it took her about 4 months. Yes, I know every woman is different. But I'm just wondering if there is a trend for NuvaRing users to take a little longer to be fertile. |
| In my opinion it wouldn't be about getting a BFP, but rather when you start to ovulate regularly again. I ovulated properly my first month off the ring, but have been trying for 4-5 months now to no avail. I am confident that it is not related to NuvaRing. There are so many other factors involved. If you're looking for suggestions, I'd get off the bc a couple of months prior and start tracking your cycles so that you have a better feel for your "normal." |
Thank you for that! What do you use to track if you're "ovulating properly"? |
I use the Kindara app to track my bbt (basal body temperature). You have to take it every day at the same time before you get out of bed -- yes, even weekends! You'll notice a big jump in temps when/if you've ovulated. Mine usually comes on day 13 of my cycle, and my temp goes from 97.7 up to about 98.2. I highly recommend Kindara! Such an amazing, supportive community too! |
| I was pregnant two months after taking out my Nuvaring. |
OP here. Thank you for sharing your experience. How long were you on NuvaRing before taking it out? |
Three years. |
| My doc said on average about 3 months...and it took me 3 months and 4 cycles to conceive. |
