From preschool all the way to high school....I'd like to take an informal survey. What is your child's grade/age and what is his/her class size?
DS is 5 and in preschool and his class size is 27! I'm looking for a school that has small classroom sizes! |

DC 1 - 4th - 24 kids/2 teachers (public)
DC 2 - preschool for 3's - 9 kids/3 teachers (private) Previously - DC 1 - Prek-3rd - 20 kids/2 teachers (private) These are probably as good as they get. My sisters' public 4th grader in CA has 30+ kids in the class with only one teacher. |

22 students -- MCPS, 3rd grade
average of 15 students -- DC independent school, 9th grade |
| 15 Private in DC. |
| Montessori Primary Class (ages 3, 4 and 5) - 24 kids |
| 11 yo/5th grade/16 kids (2 teachers for math; 1 for humanities and science)/DC private |
| DC 22 students 2 teachers K/Public |
| 14 in 4th grade, 1 teacher, private |
| For those who have less than 16 children in the class, can you name which private school it is? |
| Keep in mind that smaller class size doesn't necessary equate to smaller student/teacher ratio. 12 kids with 1 teacher versus 24 kids with 2 isn't any different in terms of student/teacher ratio. |
| private. pre-k. 19. 3 full teachers>>translates to small group (for specials, etc) of 6-7 to 1 teacher. |
