What is Your Child's Classroom Size?

Anonymous
From preschool all the way to high school....I'd like to take an informal survey. What is your child's grade/age and what is his/her class size?

DS is 5 and in preschool and his class size is 27! I'm looking for a school that has small classroom sizes!

DC 1 - 4th - 24 kids/2 teachers (public)
DC 2 - preschool for 3's - 9 kids/3 teachers (private)

Previously - DC 1 - Prek-3rd - 20 kids/2 teachers (private)

These are probably as good as they get.

My sisters' public 4th grader in CA has 30+ kids in the class with only one teacher.

For those who have less than 16 children in the class, can you name which private school it is?

Keep in mind that smaller class size doesn't necessary equate to smaller student/teacher ratio. 12 kids with 1 teacher versus 24 kids with 2 isn't any different in terms of student/teacher ratio.

private. pre-k. 19. 3 full teachers>>translates to small group (for specials, etc) of 6-7 to 1 teacher.
