Yeast infection treatment during TWW?

Anonymous
Anyone had a yeast infection during ovulation and then treated it right away? I'm a day or so post-o, and wondering if using a vaginal suppository is a bad idea. On one hand, I worry the yeast infection will effect my chances to conceive, but I worry the same about treatment! It's pretty minor, not terribly uncomfortable (we were able to BD through it just fine), but worried the infection is working against me.

I'm currently pregnant and have had recurring yeast infections for 2 mos. My OB had prescribed 5 diflucan which are category D (holy crap, 5! Category D), recommended Monistat 7 day (apparently anything less just isn't effective) and 2-7 day rounds of Rx similar to Monistat. So I think you are fine to do Monistat. I would start right away. It won't get better with time.

Oh wow! That's very good to know. Thanks so much for responding, and good luck with your pregnancy!

My OB prescribed Tercinazole cream. I don't use the insert and just apply it topically which works.
