Anyone watch or watching this? For some reason this is my new obsession! It is such a different world and talent level/value system from the one I'm in, I think that's way.

My guilty pleasure to but I don't watch every episode. I am a weird DCC fan from way back. I loved the made for TV movies in the late 1970s about them.

Love this show. I'm shocked at the high drama - will they or won't they make the team? I'm actually really impressed with the young women. Many seem to really have their act together.

My favorite part of every season is when Kelly finds the questionable photos of them on the internet and then needs to let them go. She puts up with nothing.

I was a DCC for five years and I love this show. It was NOTHING like this when I was on the squad and I didn't retire THAT long before the show started.

They make it like Kelly and Judy have way more to do with training camp than they do, Kitty has more sway in tc than they show. In the time I was there I only auditioned two years and was asked back the remaining years. This was pretty normal. Only 7 girls over 5 years were cut from training camp because the girls they cut for the show (and drama) would not have made it passed the first round before. The girls that got cut were either injured, sleeping with a player and bragging about it or drunk in public and it got back to the pr department. They never cared if you worked or went to school before. I think that is for the show.

Other things are exactly the same. Favorites go a long way. I was one and it gets uncomfortable its so obvious. Being the three at the head of the triangle was coveted. Team leader was pure politics. Weigh ins were no joke and they benched you for any gain or amount of jiggle.
