Can NNAT alone determine the AAP eligibility?

Anonymous
My Daughter got NNAT-152. Yet to receive the pool/cogat result.
Can she get into AAP , if the Cogat result are not that good.

bcoz she told me that Cogat was difficult for her.
Thanks for any response

It depends. Center eligibility is not determined by a single test score on a single day. A high NNAT combined with strong GBRS with Commentary can result in Center eligibility.

The central screening committee is looking for reasons to find students Center eligible.

NNat of 152 means your child will most likely get in to aap. Said as a retired aart.

Makes sense with a NNAT of 152.

Is this true? Quite honestly I always viewed them as looking for reasons to find students not-eligible. Maybe it's the cynic in me. I figured with all the people applying or in pool, they were more looking for ways to keep people out.

She got a good composite score in Cogat too(Verbal is not that good). I think that also helped her to be in the ppol.

then she would most likely be in. What is the composite score and percentile?

Children are in the pool automatically if the meet the cut off on either test. It is not necessary to have the cut off on BOTH tests, so having a good composite CoGAT score made no difference one she had the NNAT qualification.

There is a difference between being in the pool and being found eligible. So a score alone can determine being "AAP eligible" as defined by being eligible for the pool. A score alone does not determine "AAP eligible" as defined by being admitted to a center.

A score alone does not determine "AAP eligible," as defined by being found eligible for Level IV services (it does not have to be a center, it can be LLIV)

Why are you rolling your eyes? Retired AART, our DS scored 140 at NNAT and 132 at Cogat. I'm assuming the AART teacher is overwhelmed now so we won't be asking for the teacher score. Should we still submit the parent questionnaire?
