First time she cancelled because of an "emergency", today she was a no show. This for an Ivy. My kid is 4, it's for a neighbor who is a first generation college applicant and I've been helping him a bit.
I advised her to contact the interviewer with a "sorry I missed you today" type email and see what she says. Is there any downside to also contacting the admissions office and letting them know that she is having a hard time connecting with her interviewer? |
Send the email but also contact the admissions office. These interviews are not required, but you want to make sure that the interviewee didn't mark the applicant down as a no-show.
That's "interviewer"
Agreed. Definitely CC the admissions office and the DC rep if you can find their name. That way they can take this interviewer off their list if he/she aren't reliable and try to find the kid another interviewer. Sorry about this! I know it is stressful.
Another interviewer here. Agree it should be reported.
Interviewer who also agrees. That's terrible. I would be annoyed and would email her and cc the admissions office.
