Well, I advise you to do some research, but here's the quick and dirty. Peaches produce better when you prune the trees regularly (and correctly). They will naturally produce abundant small fruit -- this is how the tree guarantees survival of the species. To get it to to produce the kind of fruit humans want, you need to trick it, by thinning the fruits.Typically in June, the tree should drop some fruits on its own. Then when the fruits are still green and about an inch in diameter, thin them to about 8 inches apart -- this will allow the remaining fruits to grow fat and juicy as the tree puts all energy into the remaining crop. Feels sad to do it, but if you don't you get small pity fruits with low sugar content. Also, do not leave on more fruit than the limb can bear or it could snap.
