Temperature dip after ovulation but too early for period

Any reason why I might get a temperature dip below the cover line at 8 and 9 dpo when my luteal phase is almost always 12 days long?

Some women have an "implantation dip" around this time when an embryo implants into the uterine wall.

Or it could be that your sleep was restless, the temperature in the room was different, you didn't get as much sleep as usual...sometimes temps are wacky for no apparent reason. It's not something to be worried about, as long as it goes back up tomorrow.

Op here. 3 days in a row, and fertility friend "reassessed" my ovulation date so I guess my period is imminent.
