ADHD tutor for college student?

Anonymous
I'm thinking of hiring a long distance (via Skype) tutor to help my college student for his Sophmore year. He had some challenges last year and I'm hoping that someone who understand ADHD can talk with him via Skype once a week and help him stay on track. Has anyone else done this?

Do they have similar in person resources at his school?

I don't think the school has similar resources. They have subject specific but not ADHD specific (organization, time management etc)

Has your DC tried the Office of Disability Services (or whatever it is called at their school)?

Our university has a good ODS, writing centers, math tutorial centers, engineering tutorial centers. ARe you sure you haven't exhausted those yet?

When I was in grad school, I worked as a tutor for an undergrad. He didn't have ADHD, but he did struggle with his classes, so I taught him how to take notes and study, and also helped him draft his compositions, and I helped him study through a few all-nighters. His parents paid me very well for this and I was happy to have a job on campus with such flexible hours.

Can you contact the secretary of whatever academic department is most relevant to the areas in which he struggles and ask for the contact info for some grad students in that department?
