Stump Grinder

Does anyone have experience using a stump grinder?

We have been in our house a year and were left with 2 stumps from previous owners. Since then we've taken out 3-4 bushes, but the stumps remain. I saw you can rent one from Home Depot for a few hundred dollars for the day. If you've used one, is it complicated? Any tips?

Check out how much it would cost to have someone do it. It is usually in the $4/inch of diameter range, sometimes cheaper for multiple stumps, so if it is a few hundred dollars to rent the grinder you may be just as well paying someone else to do it.

Local company "mr stumpy" well worth it. It was maybe $100 for a few stumps.
