Japanese honeysuckle? If so, a nuclear bomb wouldn't be enough to keep it down.

What type is it? Major Wheeler has a major spring flush, then blooms lightly throughout summer. Deadheading may help.

In my experience, honeysuckles bloom and bloom again repeatedly. Or they bloom in waves.

Consider yourself lucky if you are talking about Japanese honeysuckle. They are an invasive plant; it's best to destroy them.
