Expectant and Postpartum Moms
| I was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced a wicked awful pain about 4 inches under their right breast during their last few weeks of pregnancy? Its a constant pain that feel like a stabbing when I move (get out of chair, try to roll over in bed, etc) and it feels even worse when baby kicks me there. Now as I move into the last official week of my pregnancy the pain has started to radiate across my belly and feels like prickly skin but I have no rash or bumps or discoloration. This pain gets worse after I eat so Im assuming its got something to do with the small amount of space left inside of me and the stretching of my skin but holy cow it hurts. Ive tried ice packs and laying on my left side but nothing makes the pain dissipate. Anyone have remedies or advice on this? My obs arent concerned about it and say its just part of being pregnant but Ive not read anything about this type of pain or talked to anyone who has had it. |

I'm 38 weeks along and I have pains only on my right side -- under my right breast and in my right groin. My doctors are not concerned. My last ultrasound showed baby mainly sitting on my right side & the placenta on the left, so I'm guessing that my right side is holding more weight than the left, and the imbalance might lead me to strain more on the right than left. I haven't found a way to make it stop, but I've been really careful about how I get up and down, esp. from bed. Turning over can hurt if I'm not careful about using my arms to support more of my weight. Also, I've been spending more time in the tub. The water seems to help while I'm in the tub but the pains return when I get out.
I hope you find some relief - just wanted to let you know you're not the only one. |
