Has anyone had a great landscaper for dealing with drainage issues?
We have never had any problems with water in our yard - it's mostly flat with a very slight slope away from the house - and we don't have a basement to worry about. But the past few months, one corner of the yard has been really muddy, and when I went to plant some shrubs there, I found the end of a PVC pipe a few inches under the soil. WSSC and 2 different plumbers came, and each suggested it was probably some long-forgotten landscaping drainage and advised me to try to find the other end myself.
I did some digging, and found the other end about a foot from our foundation. It's all plugged with soil and roots, but obviously its presence is something of a problem, otherwise we wouldn't have the muddy spot at the other end. I want to get someone to come advise me what is actually needed for our (weedy, spotty) lawn. We have a lawn care company that has done sod and other garden stuff for us before, but since they managed to do all that without ever noticing this pipe, I'm skeptical of having them give us advice.
So I'd love any recommendations.
