Afordable & durable nylons - where to buy?

Anonymous
I hate wearing nylons and I'm really tough on them - they seem to get a run after only one or two uses. That having been said, I don't want to spend a fortunte on them but on the other hand, I'd like to be able to get a few uses out of them. I also admit - I hate hand-washing anything - so they go in the washer and line dried. Stupid, I know. Suggestions?

I buy them at Ann Taylor and they last forever. I bet Nordstroms would have some resilient brands.

I have had a pair of Asset hose (the Target brand of Spanx) for almost 6 months. I still can't believe they have lasted this long and don't have any runs or snags. I am awful with nylons, I wear a pair one time and generally have to throw them away.

Can you wear black opaque tights instead? They can go in the wash and are much more durable.

I put my hose in the washing machine too but use a lingerie bag and they last much longer. Have you tried that to prolong their use?

Hanes Silk Reflections hands down. I second the lingerie bag.

Hanes Luxe, available at Target or online. They last and they are soft and comfortable, with a lace top instead of a regular waistband. First nylons I've deemed keepers.

OP here - thanks everyone! I'm going to invest in a lingerie bag first -- then I'm headed to Target to check out my options. You guys are the best!

I hate nylons and hope I never, ever have to wear a pair again!

If you do wash in a machine, don't put them in the dryer. They'll last longer.
