Thoughts on Mclean School (in Potomac) for our kids

Anonymous
I have visited a lot of the special needs private schools. They describe themselves in similar ways and it is hard to firgure out the type of student challenges they can serve based on the websites, etc. Here's my take:
McLean-handles mild learning issues, I saw some kids who might have ADHD, didn't seem that different from the kids at other private schools that aren't special needs
Lab-can handle more significant learning issues and takes a creative approach-states they don't want kids on the spectrum and yet I saw some there, may have changed some since founder passed away-hard to get info
Maddux-serves mostly autism spectrum disorders and other developmental challenges,
Diener-significant learning issues and handles behavioral issues as well-very small, just started, not many openings-may be a group of friends trying to create a learning environment for their kids-I didn't get the sense they really wanted to attract many applicants and I felt what I was told was different than what I saw
I've never heard of Newton or Auburn.

Newton and Auburn are openning this fall, I think. Thanks for the very useful thumbnail.
