Dang! I read a biography about her many years ago. She has led a fascinating life. She was a Jewish child in Germany. Her family sent her on a train as a child to an orphanage in Sweden. Her parents here killed in the holocaust. After WW II was over, she moved to Palestine. She trained as a sniper. She was wounded by an exploding mortar shell. Amazing that she is still alive, period. Even more so considering what she has been through. |
