Blair magnet vs TJ: which would you apply to and why?

I think this is fuzzy math though. Blair kids are selected from much smaller area than TJ - which covers much larger area/kids. One could argue, 500 kids (or whatever the number) from much larger student body has more higher caliber kids than 500 kids from much smaller area.

For Blair, 100 kids are selected from a pool of roughly 8000 each year. Similarly, something like 50 is selected from a pool of 4000 for Poolesville. Basically 150 kis from a grade of 12k kids in the entire county can attend a manget. Not sure how this compares to TJ but its probably worse odds.

TJ covers about 14k students
