spinoff 3: Books you "shouldn't" love, but just do

Anonymous
All sorts of YA fantasy, even though I'm a middle-aged woman.

Cassandra Clare and the Mortal Instruments and related series
Maggie Stiefvater

I'm really glad I have a kindle and so it's not clear what I'm reading.

I got a kindle to re-read the first two series when I heard Lifetime was making movies out of them. I couldn’t bear to let anyone know I was reading them.

Yeah, you lost me when you included Agatha Christie, OP. She's widely-considered one of the best mystery writers ever. Why on earth "shouldn't" anyone enjoy her books?

I loved this! While I am not ashamed to read plenty of fluffy, chick-lit books, I thought that The Royal We was at least a cut above most books in this genre. It was very well done. There's a sequel - The Heir Affair - that was also really good.

I love what people consider trashy romance novels - more so historic, scy-fy, phantasy:

Dragons, blue or scaly aliens, barbarians, vikings, shifters, omegas, etc. I love all the clichés and formulaic plots.

Yeah, in real life some of those heroes would get the back of my hand, but in a romance novel I eat that crap out! I love fated mates, bodice rippers, HEA.
