What assessments/tests do your 3rd grade AAP take

I am wondering if your child in 3rd grade AAP take horizon/ecart assessments for each end unit of Math, for science ans Social studies ?

What kind of assessments/tests has he/she taken so far in 2nd quartet for LA/reading, Math, SS and Science ? I am confused about ours so the information helps .

For writing, have they strarted using google apps ? how is feedback provided for their writing ? Does the teacher provide feedback with editing what the student wrote?

Yes to ecart assessments for math, science, soc. studies. If you have your child sign into their Blackboard account, you can actually see the ecart tests they have taken (the questions, their answers, the final score).

2nd Qtr -- I don't know. They have spelling and vocab tests every Friday... plus whatever ecart tests that are listed on blackboard (not every week for ecart).

Google Apps -- yes. They are expected to use those for writing an "explosive paragraph" and doing presentations. I guess there are some notes (from the teacher) on writing assignments that are sent home in the weekly folder.

In our center for 3rd grade, no ecart online for science and Social studies, no instruction in spelling , no spelling test , few vocabulary words every week, overall very weak language arts. For math the tests are not given at the end of each unit but they are all scrambled with other units, very strange. Why do you need to wait 3-4 weeks till you give a unit test once the unit us done ? Then that is not end of unit test. Very frustrating and deserving the children. Almost all assessments given except one in this quarter is going to be the last week with few days apart.
