If cuttings take root, that means they're alive, right?

Soo... I have some hydrangea cuttings that have managed to develop roots, but they just look so... Dead. Are they going to come alive in the spring?

Yes they've gone dormant

Heh. My hydrangeas outside look really dead. They survived last year's horrible winter (and the previous 7 winters) so I expect that they'll wake up when spring rolls around. It sounds like your cuttings will too.
