| No birds, lizards, mice or fish. I just believe that animals prefer tthe wild. We don`t take our kids to zoos, sea world or circuses. We do take them to wildlife rehab facilities that offer tours. We own two dogs that can come and go if they wanted to, but choose to live with us. I wish everyone would do this. Please stop taking your kids to places that exploit wild animals for our enjoyment. Peace out sisters. |
| Live and let live. You don't want to go to these places, that's fine. But don't tell me what to do. |
|
| Hate zoos, sea world, and especially the circus. I had to leave sea world when I was a kid because I was crying so hard because all the animals were kept in captivity. |
| I largely agree, OP. It bothers me that my child's otherwise crunchy preschool keeps a couple of caged "pets." |
What did you think seaworld was going to be like? |
Okay.
|
Well I was 6 so I was just excited to see the animals. And then when I saw how small the tanks were, I had a meltdown. |
| If your dogs are allowed to come and go as they please, they're probably making a total nuisance of themselves to your neighbors. Congratulations on being the asshole on the block. |
| Support the circus, they save elephants and lions from poaching |
| The circus is for assholes. Zoos help preserve endangered species. |
+1 Also, it's not just about physical freedom, OP. It's domestication and dependence. Somehow I doubt OP's dogs just hang there because they like OP. I'm guessing she feeds them. |
| Dolphins being whored out so people can go Ohh Ahh. Living in warm tanks. No wonder every now and then they take a chunk out of a trainer. Then the poor things get put down. Lions attacking sigmund and freud because they just couldn`t take it anymore. I mean really people why do you give money to these places? I mean if it were legal to do this to humans would you feel the same way? |
we live in a rural setting. And actually the whole neighborhood has adopted a no fences mentality. Their dogs come over to play and occasionally poop in my yard. But for the most part are very well behaved. My dogs are amazing and they stay on the porch or in the yard. Of course when we leave they go in the house. I think it takes patience and hard work to raise dogs that behave like mine. But it is possible. My friends have told me that I have a gift with dog guidance. I don`t like tomuse the word training, it sounds archaic. |
| Unless the zoo is a rehab facility they are no better than a circus. The animals, unless seriously maimed are returned to the wild to live out their days. |
