I've read that Circe in Alexandria is great, but haven't heard personal anecdotes. Is that true? Any specific names you can recommend?

If not Circe, any other great places in NoVa? I LOVE my salon in DC, but will be harder to get there once baby arrives.

What part of Nova? Natalie at Victoria Station near Tyson's is excellent. I've been going to her for years and always get compliments.

I used to go to Elie Salon in Tyson's Corner Mall (near Nordstrom's, if I'm remembering correctly). It's pricey but good. I actually went to Elie himself because he specializes in curly hair and he gave me great color as well.

2nd Eclips in Mclean. Cassie is wonderful. She has YEARS of experience and knows exactly what your hair needs. I LOVE her.

NEVER Hair Cuttery. DH AND I have gotten some very bad cuts from them. There are some good stylist but to me not worth the risk.

It's an unpretentious little place in a strip mall in Annandale, but Paul is a color expert and a super nice guy, to boot. He actually *listens* to what you want, and he has excellent technique. I will never go anywhere else after finding him!

I go to Lorraine Aprile salon, they also give first time clients half of the price of the haircut. Big bonus they are kid friendly and dogs.

Pari Payravi at Silhouette in Old Town Alexandria. She is the owner and does a fantastic job on my very thick hair. Several friends go to her. Highlights are around $100, cut $60. 703-683-4321

I am the other Lorraine Aprile salon poster. Are you by chance the one who referred me there back in September? I wanted to give them your name but was never able to find the post in the archives after I went.
