So I am so over the restoration hardware island pendants, but still want a statement piece in our large (19x18) kitchen. Is this too medieval, or like you expect Mistress Alexa to drop by?

Too medieval.
I vote no. |

I opened this thinking by "pendants" you meant necklace. Good heavens, no. What is that thing?

I like it!

| Holy shit is that ugly. Statement, alright. |
| I like it very much in the nickel! Agree it looks dungeony in the other finishes. I also wouldn't use the fake-candle bulbs, something more Edisony. |

| Creature Features with Count Fred on some very high UHF TV channel. |
| I would do the smaller version of it in a pair. |
This was my thought also. |
Haha, you guys are cracking me up . That answers that (although we would be doing it in the nickel). I like the smaller version a lot, but it's back-ordered for ages.
What about this one? DH likes this (well 2 of them), but I am worried it's a little too birdcage-y: |

It's quite a popular look, actually. PPs must not leaf through design mags and catalogues very often. OP, it depends on whether this light harmonizes with the rest of the kitchen. In my house, it would look a little stark, but in yours, in might work. |
| Shaped like a coffin and filled with candles is a little too goth for my kitchen preferences. |
