who to call for sod and lawn restoration in silver spring MD?

Half of our front yard is currently dirt. We need to sod, but are new home owners and don't know much about gardening or where to go. Any recommendations for a company that could help us? From what I have read we shouldn't sod until the fall?

Sod is a lot more expensive than seeding. Call Brian at yard by yard makeovers in takoma he will be honest and tell you if you need sod or seeding. Both will probably require dirt which is also expensive? He came to my house and honestly told us that he could sod but with the amount of hade no grass would thrive. We ended up doing playground wood chips over a large part of the yard. Looks nicer than you are probably thinking. And it was a lot less. I appreciate when service providers ont push for the most expensive option.
