| What is the cheapest source for plants right now? Home Depot is long out of market packs and I'm looking for some simple flowering summer plants to put in pots on the cheap. I thought they would go one sale soon but so far, no. Any ideas? TIA. |

Where are you located?
Behnke's is my go-to place. The prices are not bad. Pablo's in Rockville (Montrose shopping center) also had great plants a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if you'll find sales though. The summer plants are giving way to the fall offerings now. |
Where is Pablo's? Is that where the old Toys R Us was? |
Wow, can't afford few plants? Dig some from the woods.

| Pablo's is in the same mall as the Giant, AC Moore and Bob's Furniture. You can enter either from Randolph or Nebel st. |
That was the old location, in Mid Pike Plaza. He's moved to the location in the above post. |
Pablo's sucks big time. They sold me mulch infested with ants! zero quality control |
| I have only bought plants from Pablo's, so I don't know about the other stuff. But I always find some nice varieties there, particularly for hummingbirds. |

I like Behnkes.
Unfortunately the 4-6 packs of annuals were pretty much gone everywhere by the end of May. Up north we'd just be starting to plant then! Next year go early and get the multipacks because they're much cheaper- now you will probably only be able to get the big plants, which are of course more expensive. Or get some perennials, which come back every year. |
| Lowe's regularly has clearance racks in their garden center. Some are wilted or toward the end of their bloom but I have also had good luck with plants/flowers that are perfectly fine. |
