Make sense to take the CPA exam at 58?

Figure it will take me a year to study and pass. Have no desire to go into public, but would like to work for smaller companies for another ten years, combined with possibly doing people's taxes and financial planning. Already have an MBA in finance but find that the CPA is considered so highly that I look at it as mitigating age issues if I want to keep working.

You can be 58 with the CPA credential, or you can be 58 without it.
