So, my DH has lost about 50lbs. He has done this with both diet and exercise. He has started lifting weights and he is getting pretty muscular. That has helped my drive somewhat....but here is what really has sent it through the roof:
We are very social. My friends are not very conservative. It is CLEAR that a few of my married girlfriends, and one single girlfriend are very attracted to him (two have said so directly to me). I'm not threatened by this, but instead am so turned on. My goodness, it is driving me crazy. I'm now calling him the Prom King. It is driving me wild watching him be desired by other women. He is completely in heaven with my new sex drive which is boosting his confidence, making him even more attractive to other women. We went from 2xs times a month sex (when he was overweight) to now, we are at it every other night and the other night we did it before bed and then a few hours later he woke me up already halfway in. So, for me and my former shitty sex drive, this has really helped things. |
| It's like you're a kid who ignores your toy until one of your friends wants to play with it. |
| Enjoy it! |
| Keep him away from your covetous, "non-conservative" friends, or you will one day find your marriage has gone in a "non-conservative" direction. (BTW, who tells their good friends that they are really attracted to their husbands?) |
I do. Not in a weird, drooling sort of way. Just, "hey, john looks pretty hot after getting in shape. you lucky girl." |
Yes, but that is hardly saying that you are "very attracted to him", as the OP has said that several of her friends have implied about her husband. |
| Sigh. I wish my husband would do this. He also has about 40 pounds to lose but has no motivation. He has lost the weight before but was still sort of "skinny fat." If he could do that again AND do a little working out I know it would help. I am trying very hard to stay in shape for my own self-esteem and health, and I just wish he would too. Jealous. |
| Weird. |

So what you're saying is what we've always known: Women only want men when they know other women want them.
Legally Blonde pops into my head here. Lol |
| Why would other women up your sex drive? And, these women are making it clear they want him..in front of you and their own spouse? If they're over the age of 25 and acting like this, you need different friends. Grown women don't do that without serious social repercussions. |
| I'm not sure why I bothered responding to this post. It appears to be WEIRD CAPS troll. |
You sound like a stick in the mud. Yes, I have sat around with girlfriends and talked about our husbands and who is hot. Grown women can handle that. Immature insecure girls cannot. |
| OP, post a picture & we will all tell you how hot your husband it. Well, expect for the 83% of DCUm that is uptight and no fun. |
But, OP didn't say they discussed it. She said it was clear, which makes me think they're throwing themselves at him or engaging in serious flirting in front of spouses. What secure woman does that? |
+1000 I would never tell my friends I was attracted to their DH. If asked, I might say, yes, he's cute or whatever to make them feel better, but I wouldn't start drooling over him. Your friends are immature or will have an affair with your DH. |
