Inexpensive gym with reliable daycare close to Bethesda?

Hi!
I am a mom of a 10 month old and have not exercised or done much else since her birth. Does anyone know a gym/YMCA in the Bethesda area that is inexpensive (30 a month) and has a reliable daycare in the facility? It would be great if the membership was monthly and not annual. Am I asking too much?! Is there a great place like this out there? I really just like to use the elliptical machines. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

| I used to go to Fitness First in Chantilly, VA. They are very cheap (about $30/month with I think a $50 sign up fee) and their childcare was really good. I didn't like the gym so much - I mean, it was great for $30, but it's not a high end place. BUT, the I did love the childcare. The staff was consistent (not high turnover) so they actually got to know your kids and it wasn't very busy so the guard to child ratio was really good. Good luck! |

| i hear that a lot of moms in bethesda go to washington sports club, corner of wisco and bradley, b/c there is excellent childcare available. |

| We belong to the Y but I think it's $80 a month at least. You might consider just buying an elliptical. We own one and I work out when the kids are napping or even while my big girl is watching a half hour of TV. |
